Since graduation from Art Center College of Design
in Pasadena, California, Myron Beck has become
a leading
advertising photographer of food, still life,
and
products, while expanding his experience in
shooting life
styles of
people and animals. In the 25
years of
running
his
own Los Angeles studio, he has
won
numerous
awards. As a Director of Photography
on live-action
shoots, Myron has brought his vision
to life in commercials.
Always pushing himself creatively, Myron thrives on the creative process to produce effective quality work and create photographic images that inspire, motivate and capture fresh ideas. Myron has a Personal Documentary Photo Essay that he has been working on for 20 years. He has been traveling to one of the most scenic national parks in the world – ZION, Utah, where he has taken part in the Spilsbury Ranch cattle drive and round up each spring and fall.
The Utah Project has turned in to a life-changing experience for Myron, a rich journey into Mormon culture and historical past. Myron plans to create a documentary book, and film that blends still images, interviews and live action film footage to tell a historical and mythic story of the western Mormon history. His long- term goal and vision is that the Utah-Spilsbuy-Mormon documentary will travel the world artfully and historically into galleries and museums.
